Accepting A Gift

In this site, we normally focus on gift-giving. Today, I'll take time out and briefly talk about gift-accepting. At some point in time, the roles will be reversed and you will become the recipient of gifts from other people.

As you are probably aware by now, it takes a lot of time and effort to come up with a special gift for someone. The same is true for the other people trying to come up with a gift for you too.

Knowing how to graciously accept a gift is very important. You need to show how much you appreciate the gift, and their time and effort for coming up with that special gift for you.

So, a sincere smile and "thank you" is the minimum appropriate response - no matter how odd or weird the gift is... :)
